About

This site is for the Diva whose heart cries Prada, but their pocket book says nada. It answers the age old question, “How does a Diva survive in hard times?” I have always enjoyed the more refined things in life, my hair done by a stylist and not just any stylist the best! I love getting a manicure and pedicure; it makes me feel like a whole new woman, reborn and replenished. I always buy some kind of fashion magazine to stay in the know of the latest fashion trends and the best jeans for the season. I love designer handbags and beautiful shoes, and I love to shop!

It wasn’t until I was laid off that I realized, I don’t have the money to be spending $400.00 on haircuts at the Vidal Sassoon Salon in Beverly Hills . I looked in the mirror and even though my highlights were still gorgeous, my roots were beginning to grow out to Texas. I could no longer waste forty precious dollars on a weekly manicure and a pedicure was simply out of the question.  I found myself broke and the Diva inside confined. I couldn’t afford this season’s fashion. I couldn’t afford the new Coach wallet I had been eying, and to even consider it would have only made me foolish, shallow and superficial.

Looking in the mirror one day I realized, I had to go on recession mode. My appearance was looking worse by the day, and I desperately needed a  full head to toe beauty treatment.  I think with practice, you too can become a recession Diva and enjoy the life without the hard cold cash needed for the lifestyle.
