The ocean is a natural exfoliate

Take advantage of what is in your backyard. My friend dated a plastic surgeon. One night we went out to dinner, and he was adamant that the best spa treatment any girl could get was to go out and play in the ocean.  He said, “If Californian women knew the truth, none of them would go pay money for exfoliating spa treatments. Here is a link to a spa in San Diego that is charging $139.00 for 70 minutes, and even though this package exfoliates, the ocean is much better for your circulation.

The young Doctor swore the ocean was better than even the best spa treatments. The ocean is filled with sea salt which is a natural exfoliate. He even recommended rubbing your legs with sand before playing in the waves. This will knock all your dead skin cells off and help your skin regenerate new and more youthful cells.

He said, the ocean is full of natures goodness and the minerals will leave your skin super soft and silky. The waves brushing against your thighs improves circulation, one of the leading causes of cellulite. Remember, it is important that you put at least a quarter size worth of SPF 30+, at least 30 minutes before you go out in the sun, to prevent premature aging.

The ocean spa treatment makes sense to me, as the beach bunnies in Southern California always look like they have amazing skin even on the back of their thighs. As a bonus, you can reconnect with nature and get in touch with your inner-child as you frolic in the sea.

This summer become the ocean goddess you know you are and gain gorgeous skin while having fun in the sun.

Hi! Salt water is a good way to get rid of acne b/c it dries up your skin but what about all the contamination and sewage that are often in ocean water? Is that alright for your skin? I guess the best thing to do would be purchase a sea salt scrub b/c then you wont have to wait until summer to exfoliate in the ocean and you will steer clear from polluted waters. I don”t know just a thought.

Hi! Thank you for your comment Nicole. I must agree that if your local ocean is polluted, you should not swim in it. Usually, the Coast Guards will post signs saying that the beach is closed or warning swimmers that the beach may be a health risk. In Southern California, our beaches are beautiful and everyone from Seniors, to Moms, to small children play in our oceans. If it is safe for your children, and you are at the ocean anyway, then while you are there you might as well exfoliate.

Hey! The ocean is my one and only therapy. I could stay in the water alll day, and have. I’m all about that gigantic, wonderous, FREE source of exfoliant. Here on the east coast, we don’t worry about sewage in the water…thankfully!

    Congrats on your endeavor!
