Make Your Own Flower Hair Clip

FLOWER HAIR CLIPS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND FUN!

Every Diva knows accessories make an outfit pop. When I am in a store, I cannot help but look at the accessories and see if I absolutely cannot live without them. If I decide I really need that, then I ask myself, “Can I make this myself?” More often than not, I can make it, and I can even improve it.

Flower hair clips are beautiful and guys love this look. It is coy, flirty sexy and innocent all rolled into one hair clip. These flowers are being sold on clips, barrettes and even head bands for up to $15.00. Now, why buy it from a boutique, when you can make it yourself, for $1.00? Usually the flowers we pick out from the craft store are way better. Not only do they color coordinate with our outfits perfectly, but the flowers are prettier, and they are not all beat up like some of the ones you find at a retail store.

Making a flower hair accessories is as simple as 1,2,3.

Step 1:

Go to the Dollar store and buy hair clips, barrettes and head bands.

Step 2:

Go to the craft store and pick out fake flowers that you think would look great in your hair or with your new outfits. This look is perfect for summer. Also, purchase some ribbon for a dollar, if you are going to make a headband.

Step 3:

Glue it together. You can use a hot glue gun, all surface craft glue, or regular old super glue. Simply, put glue on the barrette and position your flower the way you want it, then let it dry over night.  If you are making a head band then start at the bottom and glue the beginning of your ribbon down. Wrap the ribbon around your head band keeping it nice and tight; then glue the other end. Measure where you want your flower, and then place glue on the back of the flower and hold it for about 45 seconds. Again let it dry over night.

Note: If you used hot glue, you don’t have to wait over night, just pick off the strings and wait for your clip to cool.
