Used Vintage and Consignment Shops
Hello my fellow Divas.
Some of us watch Sex in the City with a lust in our eyes. Not after the characters, like Cary, but after her shoes. If you want the look for less, you have to be creative. However, some things like shoes, you might want the real thing. Divas look down on knock- offs. It’s like the episode when Samantha was in LA and lost her knock-off purse. Then the lady she accuse of stealing her purse had the real deal, and she was so ashamed. Yeah sometimes, there just ain’t nothing like the real thing baby.
Let me show you what I mean. Here is a site:
Barney’s New York, that sales Manolo Blahniks
The shoes featured on this site are anywhere from $500-$1,000 bucks. Now if you are on recession mode, there is no way you are going to be coughing up a grand for a pair of shoes.
But you’re a Diva!!??? I know Honey, and you want the shoes. I know. I know it’s a tough life to live. When I lived in LA there was a store off Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica. In LA all the celebrities donate the clothes they only wore one day here. I went in hoping to find some amazing deals, and I was not disappointed. There were several pairs of Manolo Blahniks for $100 or less and they looked as if they had never been worn. This store had EVERYTHING, from wonderful clothes, to great shoes and handbags. Seek and you will find ladies. Google the consignment shops and their ratings in your area.
A great way to discover what is in your neck of the woods is by using Yelp
Here is what I discovered in Santa Monica. I am sure there are wonderful shops like these in every city.

These are just a few in my area of Santa Monica. Do your own research, and I am sure you will find some great places to get wonderful clothes, shoes and accessories at very reasonable prices.
Good luck and may creativity be with you!
Another store to mention would be Plato’s closet in Esconidido, CA and Flashbacks in Encinitas CA…You can even sell your old barely worn clothes and make money to shop there.
I tried the body scrub it was great! From now on I am only going to make my own. Now I am going to look for shops in my area like these. I will keep fellow divas updated on what I find! Thanks for the great tips… Keep them coming!
Thanks for the comments. I have not tried Plato’s Closet yet or Flashbacks, but I can’t wait to go there as soon as I have time. Thanks for the suggestion Ashley!
